17th Poverty-Environment Partnership meeting in India, 6-9 February 2012

The 17th Poverty Environment Partnership Meeting was hosted by Development Alternatives with 60 participants representing over 30 organisations including representatives of developing countries from India, Bhutan, Botswana, Nepal, Indonesia, Rwanda and Uruguay, bilateral development agencies (Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Japan and Sweden); multilaterals (ADB, UNDP, UN Environment), think-tanks and NGOs from India and elsewhere (IIED, TNC, WRI, WWF) and representatives from business (WBCSD).   Participants discussed Green Economy for Poverty Reduction in practice with a focus on innovation and scale and country examples from India, Bhutan, Botswana, Nepal, Indonesia, Rwanda and Uruguay.
